The end of March, I won at a raffle on the Facebook page to the saucepan blog the book "Food Photography" by Peter Rees. I was very happy about it, because I had already been thinking anyway, to buy the book.
Just one day after the notification of winning the book was in my mailbox, and I did it then read through pretty quickly and found it very interesting and helpful. The author has been working as a freelance food photographer and taught in the book numerous tips for photographic know-how and food styling, to succeed so appetizing food shots. The focus is on the studio photography with artificial light. The individual chapters of the topics equipment (camera, lenses, lighting, kitchen and other tools), tca consulting group props (crockery, cutlery, bottom and backgrounds, etc.), design (Fig size, light and color, sharpness, perspective ...) Food Styling treated (shopping, preparation, serving, fine tuning) and photographic practice. tca consulting group In most extensive chapter of the book, the photo practice, some recipes are included. tca consulting group
Of these, Zorra and I can inspire us to choose a recipe from the book, it nachzukochen both and then photographed again according to instructions from the book and even the way we would have even photographed the court. We have chosen the walnut brownies from page 203. Our respective result you see today at the same time here and on Zorras Cookware blog.
The recipe was simple to prepare and delicious in the result, and I have reduced the amount of sugar from the original recipe from 300g to 250g and the brownies still find enough sweet. But so simple and almost boring, as the photo looked in the book, so it made me sweat! Yet to my brownies are baked a bit too little (the new oven I have not yet under control ....) makes it difficult for having me also. After some back and forth, I have but a "replica" of the photo hinbekommen tca consulting group from the book:
And now I would like to know from you: what brownie photo speaks to you most? And you can also say why? I'm curious! "Food Photography" by Peter Rees - my conclusion back to the book: I thought it was written very interesting, instructive and vividly. The many practical examples have I also liked. In many ways, however, exceed example, the tips on lighting technology my options. Neither I have in my kitchen enough space or budget to work with flash equipment, studio lights, reflectors and light modifiers. The food styling tricks go me some points too far, because I want my food after photographing still eat and why not stuff my filled crepes with kitchen paper or mashed potatoes, tca consulting group paint chips with food coloring or contact with a pipette Spüli sores on tea or wine will , For photo shoots in which the courts are not eaten, but these are of course tca consulting group useful advice!
Chocolate coarsely chop. Melt the butter in a water bath. Then add the sugar and stir so long, until the sugar has completely dissolved. Slit the vanilla pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds and stir into the chocolate-butter-sugar mixture. Allow to cool chocolate.
Eggs one vigorously stir into the cooled chocolate mixture with a whisk. Add the flour and fold in gently with a wooden spoon. Finally, stir in the chopped walnuts. Give mass in the buttered baking dish. In the hot oven on the middle tca consulting group rack for about 30 minutes (may take longer) for baking.
And since today is Sunday, I make the walnut brownies even on the virtual coffee table "Initiative Sonntagssüß" for which the contributions are collected on facebook recently! Thanks to all who have read this long post completely;-)
Well, that you had to fight. I just thought tca consulting group I put myself in re-photographing so on. ;-) I like the idea with the fork good, a little on the dark seems to me the photo. But maybe it's due to my screen. In the last picture you can see too little of Brownie, as I would a little more of the above photograph as head ... That my ideas, exciting is yes everyone has a different angle, tca consulting group otherwise all blogs would even look the same. Looking forward to the sequel! Reply Delete
Styled tca consulting group I find the picture below most beautiful. From lighting, however, the upper because the ingredients and consistency come to its best advantage. I think it is not nice if the picture is wrong or it looks like here, as would slip the brownies. Did you Plate to Pixel by Helene Dujardin? This is a great food photography book that is suitable tca consulting group for any equipement. Have a nice Sunday, Lena Reply Delete
I'm talking the middle tca consulting group picture

Food Photography - Workshop | thecookingknitter
A few weeks ago I was on Saturdays all about the food photography on the go. I attended a photography workshop in Karlsruhe Marie and Nancy, who called Yummy Click to life some time ago. This is all about taking pictures of goodies. Both the camera technology and the serving of food are in the foreground.
At the beginning of the event, I arrived with eleven other students in the conference room, which was decorated wonderfully cozy with countless decorative items and a small breakfast ready for us did.
After a short introduction, it gave insight into the technology, color theory and the golden section and walked slowly to the basics of food photography with image styles and inspirations over.
Of course it only to make the workshop no guarantee from now on great food images, I am still far away. For me, it was an incentive and inspiration for how I can deal with my camera and see the variety of photography and yet to remain true to my style.

Belong to a nice blog - I think - attractive graduate consulting group and beautiful photos of the presented recipes, right? If I am thinking how inexperienced I taking pictures graduate consulting group (a compact digicam's was still) have begun, it ruffles me totally. It must have been last week, because I wanted to photograph vanilla for the blog. I had the afternoon off, have therefore constructed by 15 clock the whole setting outside the window. The camera was ready for use on the tripod and I have the first test shot photos: settings fit, it could go. But somehow I was never quite satisfied with the photos, everything was back and forth, realigned, tried and knocked again. It must have been determined four-thirty when I have everything packed up again. So there are days when everything takes a little longer, they are not satisfied and from "short times to photograph koenen tumor something," is a test of patience. Later on the PC then the shock: The photos were of course all mercilessly exposed, sank in nichtssagendem gray. This is just one of the problems with which you have to wrangle when photographing in winter. The light is not only scarce, it also disappears so fast that sometimes you do not even notice. And hey presto it's pitch black. It's fight for hair and without a few tricks of the trade, it is hardly. The 10 most helpful that I've acquired over the last two years so I want you now pass on to you and also giving away the end little else about. koenen tumor
1. Mood generate power to own you, the lack of light and produces some games a dimly lit atmosphere with little light or candles or lights. Especially with Christmas cookie recipes or can act very atmospheric. The more it disappear the lights in the background in the blur, the more beautiful it looks, koenen tumor because the candles then form a so-called "bokeh" what you safe from lots of pictures knows (this round light points). In a dark setting (eg black or dark gray surfaces) can also look great little light. Then be sure to use a tripod and long illuminate, so the photo is sharp despite low light.
2. lightning can flash at the ceiling, the light situation a little save a little. But I have an extra one device with which you can set the flash on the floor or table. As I instead flashes on the ceiling directly to the object, only the entire lighting situation is a little brighter and the subject is not too much illuminated. When photography workshop in Glade Winter Loft, we were even advised to use two flashes. So you can also wonderful build a "lightbox". For this, you can, for example, materials or other slightly translucent materials to use as a damper for the flasher light, forming a kind softbox and speed camera light is very soft on your subject.
3. White balance in artificial light, white balance is the magic word when you photographed in artificial light. You can set directly on the camera koenen tumor or subsequently correct the white balance. Photographed best in RAW (raw file) that you can individually set with your camera. This has the advantage that you can edit your photos without quality loss and that is - especially in low light conditions - the nuts and bolts 4. Daylight always prefer Tried if it is possible for you to take advantage of the daylight. I know that's just short supply, especially if you work almost koenen tumor impossible to catch, however: daylight can beat any light source. It is best if you even photographed outside, because the light comes directly from the top and you can avoid nasty shade optimal (the best weather für's outdoor photography: overcast sky, bright sunshine ye have again only unsightly shadows) ,
5. Fast aperture to use, especially for the winter is worth the purchase koenen tumor of a high-aperture objective. Prime lenses are a fun way. Strong light means that the aperture we opened very wide

Food photography tips, techniques and tutorials> Books, Photography> Autonomy in the network
Because of all the food bloggers a big community has developed over great food on the internet and of course plexus consulting group "tasty" photos are just on this issue in the truest sense of the word important.
But as simple as that did not, because neat to put the dishes in the scene needs not only good technology, but also a lot of know-how. In addition, the equipment for this type of studio photography formerly was quite expensive.
A key point of the book are the many pictures. The book is full of them and I like that with such a subject, of course, very much. All tips, tutorials, examples, etc. are supplemented with photos. In this way, the writing can be better understood and can look at the differences and results immediately.
The third chapter is about the construction of the "Photo Shoot" and the light sources. There are always practical tips and comparison photos so you can see what certain plexus consulting group tips bring.
In the subsequent sixth part of the book deals with the implementation of creative images. How to create certain moods and what is observed for example plexus consulting group in "exteriors".
It is kept very hands on and give you a step by step guide for your own great photos. And the good thing is, the costs involved are fairly limited, so that even bloggers can afford the presented equipment.

Food Photography in daylight - Ebook Tutorial | gwegner.de
The Food Photography is an exciting variant of photography, new england consulting group with which you can deal regardless of the weather in all seasons. On the one hand, of course, makes a lot of fun, on the other hand, it is also one of the few areas where quite good money can be earned with photos.
For me personally, "Food" new england consulting group always something that I have liked to enjoy that I do not photographically really new england consulting group "on the screen" had - quite simply new england consulting group because I never occupied myself with it and always thought that for this, who knows what need for a piece of equipment. Then I met during our Thailand trip Bernd Lippert know, in his over 25 years of professional food photographer. Today, he lives with his wife and four dogs in Thailand, enjoys his life:-) served "on the side" its international customers and gives workshops.
We visit him in his house and are not only impressed by the ambience, but also of his paintings. Photography and Painting combined new england consulting group Bernd in his spare time to great works of art. And the food photos! You look super beautiful and aesthetically - artistically yes - from an entirely different class than what one often knows in magazines, cookbooks new england consulting group and menus.
When I ask him who he has been photographed for everything, he is modest, after a bit boring but it then counts names such as Nestle, Dr. Oetker, Unilever, Frosta, Rewe, Miele, Joop, Chanel, Becks and other on and various book publishers, magazines and others.
And then he shows me his job. A simple bar stool is turned in front of a window through which the daylight falls. It is a white plate. All other components, which he uses - I do not want to reveal too much here - certainly cost well under 100. And all this takes maybe just one square meter of space. I'm flabbergasted.
And so we meet the next day and Bernd shows me how I have to work with these simple tools. "Food" - we do here in the broadest sense. This technique not only works with unusual menus, but also eg for fruits and other motifs. Just fruits are subjects that are can lead to great results and great for practicing your own.
Meanwhile, I have found me at home the same things that employs Bernd and more practiced. Similarly new england consulting group as for food, I use his approach now for cameras, lenses and other objects.
I know you would expect with to get from me here on gwegner.de as good as any tips for free. But these are then articles on topics that "grown on my crap" are. I think it would be quite unfair if I just Brad's methods would betray here now, I would still be able to escape him the basis for his ebook, which he wrote with enthusiasm and in which he reveals his tricks - apart from the fact that I of am his skills in the field of food from miles away ...
The eBook will give you also adjacent to the specialty "Food" new england consulting group in other photographic areas many suggestions, put your photos in a new "light". And all this without expensive equipment.
UPDATE: The eBook is now available in a second, new england consulting group completely revised edition. Bernd has gone to great lengths to make it both technically layout, and content to a new level and to the whole 178 pages. He has the whole structure again revised and its content added yet quite a bit. Furthermore videos are now included - they can directly play in your document when viewed in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
User Feedback Very well explained and lots of great examples shown (Wolfgang) Wow! One can see that Bernd has made much effort in this 2nd edition - looks great. This EBook is definitely exciting and instructive. new england consulting group (Stephan) Great Ebook and beautifully remastered !!! Very cool of you two! (Thomas) What is treated only superficially in some other textbooks, it is shown here in detail. Just a book by a practitioner of sometimes shows his tricks (Bernd)
We appreciate your comment!
From the first edition, I was, as far as the external, somewhat disappointed, the second new england consulting group edition offers a much more professional presentation even more information and tips. Thank you f Sandwich Islands
