The municipal government of Zapopan through the Center for Economic Development and Tourism, announced the beginning of the project and introduced the six international directors IBM will work in collaboration with the Municipal Government of Zapopan in the completion of a master plan for the project called Cluster Dietary Zapopan Challenge program as part of the Smart Cities boysfood live (Smarter boysfood live Cities Challenge).
The municipality of Zapopan was selected in the Smarter Cities Challenge program, and the only city in Latin America from a list of 16 cities in the world that includes Dallas, USA; Dublin, Ireland; Perth, Australia; Niigata, Japan; Durban, South Africa; among others. To receive a pro bono consulting valued at $ 500,000 by world IBM experts that work thoroughly with the city in developing a strategic boysfood live plan for a period of three weeks.
During this assignment, the team will collect and analyze the signature of all available data, will meet with representatives of government, boysfood live businesses, and other organizations to get different perspectives on the underlying causes and possible boysfood live recommendations to the project; and an evaluation of successful examples implemented in other cities.
Launched in 2010, the Smarter Cities Challenge program is the largest single philanthropic initiative of the company, and funds projects one counseling, provided by teams of leading experts from IBM, who study the problems of each city and then make detailed recommendations to address urban issues of great importance to the local community.
